He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Smith (Bullock) and Leonard Clifton Smith; and his wife Marguerite Smith (Burwell). He is survived by: his children, John Hutchens (Lisa) of San Antonio, Texas, Cathy Andrews (Johnny) of San Antonio, Texas, Jennifer Rather (Rodney) of Spring, Texas and Sidney Smith (Harper) of George West, Texas.; his brother Charles L. Smith (Sammie) of George West, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Catherine Andrews, Julia Kelley (Andrews), Nathan, Luke Rather, Ian Hutchens, William, Jetty Smith and Granddaddy. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
