He was predeceased by: his son Baby Boy Newsom; and his parents, A. E. "Slick" and Alice Evelyn Chesnut Newsom. He is survived by: his wife Beth Newsom of Beeville; his children, Amy Elizabeth Newsom (Jeff Butler) of Beeville and William Wroten Newsom (Stephanie) of Rockport; his sister Nancy Newsom O'Neil (Tommy) of Beeville; his sister-in-law Judy Wroten Cline (Larry) of Beeville; and his nieces and nephews, Allan O'Neil (Michelle), Christopher Cline (Jillian), Matthew Cline, Keleigh Walters (Matt) and Kathleen O'Neil. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, the Beeville Volunteer Fire Department, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Beeville Animal Shelter or a charity of one's choice.
