He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Contreras and Consuelo Contreras. He is survived by: his spouse Estolia Maldonado; his children, Johnny Contreras, Guadalupe "Lupita" Ybarra (Cruz), Victoria Harris (John) and Carmen Collins (Matthew); and his siblings, Diana Contreras, Dorothy Contreras, Hilario "Lalo" Contreras, Daniel "Turkey" Contreras, Pedro "Tape" Contreras and John Simon Contreras. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews.
