He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentin Amador and Lina Amador (Salazar); his wife Isabel "Chavela" Amador; and his son Israel Amador. He is survived by: his children, Mary Jane Cantu (Ricardo), Lina Amador (Kay Mancias), Valentin Amador III (Patricia Garcia), David Amador (Adela) and Daniel Amador (Patricia); and his siblings, Pedro Amador of Victoria and Ursula Guajardo of Beeville. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
