He is survived by: his child D'Laine Elkins (John) of Tom Palacio, IV; his grandchildren, Madilynn Elkins and Jaren Palacio; his sisters, Peggy Mijares, Christina Taylor (Mark) and Aliyah Cardenas; and also Raquel Cardenas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
