He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester C. Hurst and Climmie Williams Hurst (Williams); his siblings, Ernest E. Hurst, Reverend Chester C. Hurst, Jr., Wanda Morrison and Delores Freeze; and his grandsons, Terry Dewayne Hurst and Timothy Dairell Hurst.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Hurst (Collier); his sister Shirley Stewart; his children, T. Dairell Hurst Jr. (Lupita) and LaDonna Hurst; his grandchildren, Donald Wayne Hurst (Mendy) and Tonya Genae Rossmoine (Harry); his great grandchildren, Cody Lee Fedler (Candace), Justin Talon Hurst, Melisa Denae Butler (Jake) and Jacy Dee Fernandez (Jacob); and his great great grandchildren, Juliette Fernandez, James and Alice Butler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
