He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hobbs Garcia of Beeville; his children, Gentry "Gene" Garcia of Beeville, Angela Garcia Kowalik of Florida and Janet K. Westlund of San Antonio; and his grandsons, Jonathan Westlund of Austin and Julian Westlund of Beeville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
