She was predeceased by: her parents, William Horton and Lois Burris Horton; her husbands, Sonny Slayton and Forrest Hawkins; and her brother W. B. Horton.
She is survived by: her former husband Harold Slayton (Sonny); her children, Connie Slayton, Vicki Gilstrap (Raymond) and Glenn Slayton (Diane); her sister Jean Mitchem; her grandchildren, Bryan Hudson, Brad Hudson (Ann), Kristy Luna (Hector), Jennifer Lee (Brian) and Kelsey Warren (Colton); and her great grandchildren, Natalie Hudson, Melody Lee, John and James Warren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
