He was predeceased by: his parents, Nevy Robinson and Mary Lou Barefield; and his wife Lena Barefield. He is survived by: his children, Ray Barefield Jr. (Jane), Clayton Johnson, Tanya Rae Barefield and Pamela Mason (Kim); his grandchildren, Tashina, Dessiree, Danielle, Trevion, Malachi, Gemineye, Justin and Jazzmine; his great grandchildren, Synarea, Jeremiah, Aiden and Layla; his siblings, Esther Barefield and Nevy Lee "Jesse" Robinson; and his friend Day Malone.
