He was predeceased by: his parents, Nasario Castillo and Paula Castillo (Vasquez); his siblings, Jose Castillo (Joaquina), Maria Castillo and Jose V. Castillo; and his stepsiblings, Sammy Salinas, Maria Ybarra (Julian) and Sandy Vasquez.
He is survived by: his wife Mabel; his children, Ray Castillo (Alice), Ramiro Castillo Jr. (Sandy), Lillie Rose Alcorta (Mario), Maria "Mayo" Alvarado (Alcario), Consuelo Melendez (Michal) and Lydia Castillo; his siblings, Connie Leal (Ernesto), Olga S. Vasquez (Inosencio), Gloria Ybarra (Felipe), Rosa Munoz (Roberto) and Lupe Carabajal (Nick); his stepbrother Juan Salinas III; and his sister-in-law Trinidad Castillo. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
