He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Stambaugh; his children, Jason Dean Stambaugh, James C. Puryear, Jessica E. Mercer (Adam) and Meghan A. Hernandez (Roger); his grandchildren, Joshua, Miles Stambaugh, Troy, Madyson, James D. Puryear, Willow and Carter Mercer; and his brother Ernest Stambaugh, Jr. (LeeEtta). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
