It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paula Cantu Carrillo (Beeville, Texas), who passed away on February 17, 2022, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Cantu and Paula Cantu (Colunga); her husband Sylvestre Carrillo; her sister Adelina; and her brother-in-law Robert Ybanez.
She is survived by: her children, Jose Guadalupe "PePe" Carrillo of Beeville, Juanita "Jay" Carrillo (Stephanie) of Beeville and Donna Cantu-Trujillo of Iowa; her grandchildren, Richard James Trujillo and Audrey Gutierrez; and her siblings, Samuel D. Cantu (Paula) of Corpus Christi, David M. Cantu (Bessie) of George West, Juanita Ganderia (Jose) of Mathis, Magelan Smejkal (Robert) of Victoria, Consuelo C. Alaniz (Anselmo) of George West, Diane C. Scott (Jim) of Vermont and Nelda C. Cantu of George West.
