He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver C. McBryde, Sr. and Cleo McBryde (Leigh); his granddaughter Meredith McBryde; his brother Ross; and his daughter Martina Ortiz (Wilma).
He is survived by: his son Doak McBryde (Bernadette) of Houston; his grandchildren, JD McBryde (Allison) and Marisa Ann Ortiz of Brownsville; his great grandchildren, Ashley Chammas, Connor, Maddox McBryde, Miranda Luz, Manuel, Janelle and Armani Ortiz; his brother Oliver C. McBryde, Jr. (Betty) of San Antonio; and his son-in-law Richard Ortiz of Brownsville.
In lieu of flowers Dr. McBryde requested that Memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church of Beeville.
