He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Shears and Mildred Shears (Dahlenberg); and his wife Donna Shears. He is survived by: his children, Bryan Shears of Beeville, John Shears of Beeville and Laura Rothlisberger (Garry) of Beeville; his grandsons, Jaren Shears of Austin, Conner Shears (Deepika Singh) of Colorado Springs, Jace Rothlisberger (Rebecca) of Beeville and Lane Rothlisberger (Rebekah) of Banquete; and his great grandchild Annalee Mae Rothlisberger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
