He was predeceased by: his parents, Pablo Jose and Enriqueta S. Fernandez (Saenz); his siblings, Pablo A. Fernandez, Baldemar S. Fernandez and Rosa Lidia Coffeen; and his nephew Fernando Coffeen.
He is survived by: his wife Rafaela "Nora" Fernandez; his children, Melissa Padilla (Lee) of New Mexico, Michael Fernandez (Lucy) of San Antonio, Pablo Jose Fernandez (Mari) of Beeville, Johnny Fernandez of Beeville and Carlos Fernandez (Fabiola) of Alice; and his sister Anna Ramirez Fernandez of Round Rock. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
