He was predeceased by: his parents, Tranquelino Lara and Genoveva Lara; and his siblings, Teresa Lara, Consuelo Lara and Mariano Lara.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Lara; his children, Betty Lara, Luis Lara Jr. (Cynthia) and Michael (Lorrie Lara); and his siblings, Esperanza Cuevas, Rosalinda Lara, Janie Lara, Deacon Antonio Lara, Tranquelino Lara Jr., Jessie Lara, Augustine Lara, Joe Lara, Juan Lara, Geraldo Lara and Numerous.
