She was predeceased by: her mother Dolores Salazar Cantu; and her grandparents, Bruno, Matilda Salazar, Juan Leal Cantu and Olivia Edison.
She is survived by: her father Ruben Martinez Cantu; her husband Joe Derlin Loya; her sons, Jeremie Cantu of Beeville and Jacob Cantu of Beeville; and her siblings, Ruben Oscar Cantu (Martha) of Cypress, Gil Albert Cantu (Kim) of Houston, George Louis Cantu of Goliad, Henry Rolando Cantu of Seadrift, Omar Cantu (Rachel) of Goliad and Rubena Denise Cantu of Beeville. She is also survived by five grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren also numerous nieces and nephews.
