He is survived by: his significant other Gwendolyn Lea White; his son John Jr.; his nieces, Patty Johnson and Betty (John); his sister Betty; his grandson Shawn; and his sisters-in-law, Sarah White, Carol Whitener and Bobbie Carroll. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
