He was predeceased by: his parents, John McClendon Sr. and Barbara Chadwick; his siblings, Marguerite Zimmer and Don Thompson; and his son Jerry Barnum.
He is survived by: his wife Dorthy; his children, John, Barbara and Stacey; and his sister Debbie. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
