Smith (Robert Brandt) of Corpus Christi; his mother Irene Zavodsky (Wes) of Corpus Christi; the mother of his children Josie R. Perez (Paul); his brother David Carabajal; and his close friend Fermin Carreon. He was also cherished by four nephews and two nieces; longtime friend.
