Joe Vernon Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Vernon of Beeville, Texas, born in Petersburg, Texas, who passed away on December 20, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Morris Vernon and Vera Lucile Vernon (Truitt); his wife Emma Jo Vernon; and his sisters, Hazel Zorns and Ruth Scarborough.

He is survived by: his children, Sarah McKinney (Ellis) of Beeville, David Vernon (Susanna) of Round Rock and Rachel Hoff (Ronnie) of Three Rivers; his sister-in-law Mollie Williams (Arlie) of Lamesa; his grandchildren, Bethany Vernon, Joshua Vernon (Tiffany), Maggie McKinney, Mollie Elizalde (Rob), Morgan Hancock (Matt), Paige McKinney, Heather Henderson (John) and Claire McKinney; and his great grandchildren, Peyton Jones and Ellie Ray Hancock. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in honor of Emma Jo, or to First Baptist Church and designate for home or foreign missions.
