He is survived by: his wife Josephine Montez of Mathis; his children, Melanie Amorita Montez (Laura Keenan) of Austin, Joseph J. Montez (Diana) of Orange Grove and Humberto A Montez (Priscilla) of Beeville; his siblings, Ruben Montez (Theresa) of Beeville and Angelita Hill (Eric) of Atlanta, Georgia.; his granddaughters, Alexis Montez, Aaralyn Montez and Aolani Montez; and his stepgranddaughter Danielle Marquez.
