He was predeceased by: his parents, Teofilo Benavidez and Tomasa Benavidez (Duran); his siblings, Maria Casarez, Inez Benavidez, Gloria Benavidez, Amado Benavidez and Manuel "Lencho" Benavidez; and his son Jimmy Benavidez.
He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Lane (Gracie), Elizabeth Garcia and Sandra Simon; his siblings, Teodora Galvan, Ester Constante, Christina Perez (Encarnacion), Catherine Ludyjan (Michael), Ernesto Benavidez (Benancia) and Santiago Benavidez (Debbie); and his sisters-in-law, Tomasita Benavidez and Sharon Benavidez. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
