He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Clay and Josephine Parker; his wife Deborah Clay; his sons, Tommy Clay and Jasper "Monkey" Clay; his brother Oscar Toliver Jr.; and his great grandchild Aubrey Contreras.
He is survived by: his children, Robbie Clay of Dallas and John Clay of Beeville; his grandchildren, Kasha Clay, LaTaya Clay, Keanu Gutierrez, Joseph Jones and Ryan Tucker; his great grandchild K'Shawn Ross; and his sisters, Daphne Scott and Betty Cunningham. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
