She was predeceased by: her parents, Cruz Alvidrez and Rosario Alvidrez (Morales). She is survived by: her husband Ernesto Ruiz; her children, Dr. Rosie Ruiz and Eddie Ruiz of Corpus Christi, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Abe Benavides of San Antonio and Yvonne Benavides of Austin.
