It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Cantu (Beeville, Texas), who passed away on February 4, 2020, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Romana A. and Margarito Arredondo Sr.; her siblings, Tomasita A. Maldonado, Sofia Arredondo and Alfredo Arredondo Arredondo; and her half-brother Margarito Arredondo.
She is survived by: her husband Porfirio T. Cantu Sr. of Beeville; her children, Audelia M. Cantu of Beeville, Crystal Cantu-Salazar (Liza) of Calallen, Bonnie Cantu-Huerta (Alissa) of San Antonio, Porfirio T. Cantu Jr. of Beeville and Geronimo B. Cantu of Beeville; and her sister Isabel A. Martinez of Beeville. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
