He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Hughes of Beeville; his sons, William Hughes of Dallas, Philip Hughes of San Antonio and Nicholas Hughes of College Station; his siblings, Keleigh Sasser (Stuart) of Corpus Christi and Dan Allen Hughes (Peggy) of San Antonio; and his sons, Reggie Elder, Nick Arredondo and Freddy Schauer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Philip's Episcopal School.
