He was predeceased by: his parents, Felipa Gomez (Duarte) and Antonio Gomez; his sons, Antonio, David and Gavino Gomez Jr.; his siblings, Manuel Gomez Sr. and Maria Antonia Castro; and his granddaughter Victoria Gomez.
He is survived by: his wife Merced A. Gomez; his children, Sonia Puga (Angel) of Beeville, Betty Gonzales (LeRoy) of Beeville, Cathy Salinas (Michael S.) of Beeville, Joe Gomez (Corina) of Beeville, Freddy (Ruby) of Beeville and Roy Gomez of Beeville; and his brother Marcelino Gomez of Beeville. He is also survived by several step-brothers and step-sisters.
