She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Paul Hertel, Sr. and Lillie Hertel (Koerth); her husband Felix Valenta; and her brother Otto Hertel, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, John Valenta (Patty Bates) of Berclair, Nancy Liska (Don) of Beeville and Ann Warwas (William) of Yorktown; her grandchildren, Jennifer Crownover (Michael), Joshua Valenta (Megan) and Allison Young (Cody); and her brother Milton Hertel of Angleton. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
The family asks that memorial donations be given in her honor to Faith Lutheran Church, 1500 E. FM 351, Beeville, TX 78102; Beeville Vineyard, 201 N. Monroe, Beeville, Texas 78102; or a charity of your choice.
