He was predeceased by: his parents, John Richard Smith and Mary Ella Taubert (Anderson); and his siblings, James Ivey, Richard Smith, Sammy Smith and Lorraine Tanner.
He is survived by: his daughters, Meagan Smith and Amber Smith; his stepfather Ralph Taubert; his sister Mary Welch (Charles); and his girlfriend Karen Makowitch. He is also survived by four grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews and great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
