He is survived by: his wife Linda Gabbert of Beeville; his children, Bryan Gabbert of Beeville, Christy Akin (Darren) of Rankin and Clint Gabbert of Beeville; and his siblings, Joye Burns of Alabama, Norma Sisemore (Dave) of Axtell, Barbara Lento of Ben Wheeler, Jeanie Toberny (Toby) of Ben Wheeler and Jimmy Gabbert of Beeville. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
