He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio "Chiquito" Gomez and Elisa Gomez (Duarte); his brothers, Mark Anthony Gomez and Bobby Ray Gomez; his sister-in-law Annette Gomez; his grandson Raul Ramon Jr.; and his niece Patricia Lynn Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Inez Arredondo; his children, Jesus A. Gomez (Mary), Raul Ramon Sr. (Donna), Maria "Chris" Gomez Silvas, Inez Gomez and Rosanna Garza (Andy); his grandchildren, Daniel G. Gomez (Lucero), Benito D. Varillas (Alyssa), Margaret Ashley Zuniga, Jessica Tenerias (Joseph), Brayden Andrew Garza, Noemi Ramon, Richard Ramon and Raul Garza; and his siblings, Guadalupe Gomez Sr. (Lena), Richard Gomez Sr. (Paula), Joe D. Gomez (Rosalinda), Emma Lee Sayre (David) and Mary A. Garza (Cirildo Jr.). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members and friends.
