He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lorn Cartwright and Mildred Cartwright (Epperson); and his former wife Suzanne Oberwetter Cartwright. He is survived by: his wife Nora Rebeca Cepeda of Beeville; his son Charles Rea Cartwright (Uta) of Blender; and his stepson Christopher J. Ulmer of Beeville.
