He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Vera and Patsy Vera; and his siblings, Hector Vera, Delia Villa, Rudy Vera and Sally Hustead.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Vera (Lazarine) of Beeville; his siblings, Mary Helen Lowry, Ralph Vera (Angela), Willie and Norma Vera; his children, Nathan Vera (Sarah), Carliss Ramos (Greg), Amanda Avila (Charles) and Skye Vera (Sarah); his stepchildren, Timothy Alaniz (Heather) and April Cantu (Robert); his grandchildren, Johnathan, Audrey, Joshua Vera, Avynn, Gregory Ramos, Skylar, Lakynn, Mateo, Cecilia Vera, Alivia Urton, Chandler, Finley Alaniz, RJ Cantu and Mia Loren Cantu; and his great grandchildren, Gracie Jo and Emmett Urton. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
