She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth B. McClelen and Ruby Cleo McClelen (Manuel); and her siblings, Joyce Marie McClelen Searcy, Lela Mae McClelen Downing and Thomas Andy McClelen.

She is survived by: her husband Jack F. Elder of Beeville; her children, Kenneth Jack Elder (Beth) of Anderson, Jeffrey Keith Elder (Celeste) of Sunrise Beach, Texas and Debra Diane Elder Byler (Scott) of La Grange, Texas; her grandchildren, Russell Elder (Dana), Phillip Elder (Hailey), Sara Coffey (Eric), Callie Byler (Jeramy Minor) and Brandon Byler (Dana); and her great grandchild Lawrence Eugene Elder.
