He was predeceased by: his parents, Israel "Riley" Vega and Dolores Vega; and his brother Michael Vega. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Vega (Alyssa) and Tanner Vega; and his sisters, Terry Vega and Sandra Martinez. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
