He was predeceased by: his parents, Erlinda B. Moreno and Matilde Moreno Sr.; and his siblings, Johnny Benavidez Sr., Luis Moreno, Reynaldo Moreno and Adela Hurtado.
He is survived by: his wife Beatriz R. Benavidez; his children, Roxanne Villarreal (Joe Henry), Diana Benavidez (Jarvis Ochoa), Alfredo Benavidez (Nickie), Joe Anthony Benavidez (Michele) and Eloy Rodriguez (Selena); his siblings, Dora Kay Moreno, Mary Helen Moreno, Tony Moreno, Manuel Moreno and Benny Moreno; and his grandchildren, Alfredo Ray Benavidez, Daren Ray Benavidez, Kenneth De Los Santos, Roy Benavidez, Joe Henry Villarreal Jr. and Andrew Benavidez. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 a private burial will be held for the immediate family only with Pastor Trino Paiz officiating at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery # 2.
