He was predeceased by: his parents, Presciliano Martinez and Maria Salome Ruiz; his wife Mary Helen Martinez; and his sons, John A. Martinez and Adam P. Martinez.
He is survived by: his children, Maria Prieto (Juaquin), Gilbert Martinez (Crystal) and Presciliano Martinez; his daughter-in-law Jeanette Martinez; and his sisters, Rosa Munoz, Mary Bonham, Dora Garza and Hope Ashton. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
