He was predeceased by: his parents, Pioquinto Martinez and Maria Rangel Martinez; and his siblings, Victor, Julio Martinez, Lidia Martinez-Castillo and Carrie Trlica.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Licona Martinez; his children, Elizabeth "Lisa" Hernandez, Sandra Urquizo (Armando) and Ruben Martinez (Sylvia); his great grandchildren, Gabriela Hernandez, Desiree Trevino (Avery Trevino), Adrian (Amy), Aubree, Ariana Hernandez, Sophia Torres, Aaron Martinez, Alicia Martinez (Joe), Alejandro, Aiden Martinez, Daniel Angel, Albert Martinez (Julian Martinez) and Andrew Martinez (Nikki); and his brothers, Paul and Manuel Martinez.
