He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther H Batey and Ardella Windsor Batey; his wife Bernice Barbara Pawlak Batey; his daughter Jeanette Lynn Batey Idom; and his grandson John David Miller.
He is survived by: his children, David Wayne Batey and Judy Batey Miller (Bob); his great grandchildren, Brianna Miles, Rayln Miles, Marissa Miles, Addisyn Miller and Robert Bodey Miller; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Pawlak and Karen Darcy.
