He was predeceased by: his parents, Seaborn Stapleton and Rheba Stapleton (Tackett); and his sister Betty Schulz. He is survived by: his wife Susan Stapleton of Bedias; his children, Lane Stapleton (Melynda) of Midway, Treena Morgan (Michael) of Houston and Kristen Lightner of Houston; his brother Gene Stapleton (Sandra) of College Station; and his grandchildren, Sydney, Blaine Morgan, Cody, Cort Stapleton, Addie, Collin Tobias, Lyndie Dunn and Luke McDuffie.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Madisonville Funeral Home (1511 E Main St, Madisonville, TX 77864). A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brookside Memorial Park (13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039).
