He is survived by: his wife Martha Dixon of Bedford; and his children, David Dixon, Deborah Dixon Contreras, Donna Dixon, Delaine Dixon Keenum and Dale Dixon. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great grandchild.

“I’m so sorry to hear about Uncle Parnell’s passing. My Mom and Dad divorced when I was two. I didn’t know very much about my Dad’s side of the family. Uncle Parnell and Aunt Martha were so sweet in trying to help me with my genealogy and knowledge of my grand parents. They welcomed me in the family and showed me love.
