She was predeceased by: her husbands, Carruthers Whirley and Joe Whirley; and her son Jim Carruthers, Sr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Erin Gregory of Bedford, Elsie Holland of Bedford and Carol Hobbs of Bedford. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
