George Washington Merwin Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Washington Merwin of Bedford, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 8, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington Merwin Jr. (Juanita Lane) and Juanita Merwin; his sisters, Beverly Stolfus (James) and Donna Cook (Cookie); and his former wife Peggy Merwin.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Merwin; his children, George "Lucky" Merwin IV, Linda Fritz and Bill; his stepchildren, Rodney, Mindy Dye, Bradley, Angie Dye, Heather and Gaylon Cox; his grandchildren, Heidi, Biff Schuessler, George, Michelle Merwin, Tanya, Stephen Davis, Kaylee, Connor Still, Carter, Taylor Dye, Sierra, David Reinert, Zoe Cabe, Callen, Kensi Dye, Caeleb Dye, Hadley "Skeezix" Dye and Brody Hays; and his great grandchildren, Nicholas Davis, Faith, Finley, Kira "Kiwi" Reinert, Halston, Hartley Dye, Presley Dye, Alexander Schuessler and Eloise "Ellie" Merwin. He is also survived by nine great- grandchildren.
