He was predeceased by: his son Stuart Monroe; his parents, Joseph Monroe and Mabel McKee Monroe; and his siblings, Mary Jo Hull and Bill Monroe.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Monroe; his children, Melinda Scruggs (Darrell) and Brad Monroe (Heidi); his grandchildren, Amber Washington (Drew), April Bell, Maggie and Stuart "Ren" Monroe; and his great grandchildren, Owen and Miles Washington.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lucas Funeral Home - Hurst (1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, TX 76053). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park (5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034).
