Barnes; his wife Junko "June"; his children, Edward Barnes III (Polly) of Corinth, TX, Raymond Ernest, Tawnda-Liea (Kathy) of Albany, NY, Sanae Fulkerson (Chuck) of Bedford, TX and Rachel Jameson (Ken) of Bedford, TX; his daughter-in-law Arlene Barnes of Navarre, FL.; his grandchildren, Edward Jay Barnes, Douglas Joseph Barnes, Raelyn Barnes, Zachary Colin Lucas and Miya Nicole Lucas; and his great grandchildren, Madison and Haden.
In his memory, donations can be made to his favorite organization, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
