She was predeceased by: her spouse Ottis Edward "Ted" Shivers; her son David Evans Shivers; her siblings, Dan Evans, Henry Elmer Evans, Maurice Sexton, Elizabeth Thomas, Margaret Briggs, Madeline Day and Katherine Sue Herrington; her son-in-law Jerry Peterson; and her great grandchild Brooke Ivey.
She is survived by: her children, Luther Edward "Eddie" Shivers (Geneva) of Gilmer, James Paul Shivers (Kathy) of Mesquite and Judy Faye Peterson of Beckville; her daughter-in-law Debbie Shivers of Tatum; her sister Alicia Gay Evans of Longview; her brother-in-law John Herrington of Henderson; and her grandchildren, James Shivers, Caroline Ivey, Jenifer Williams, Misti Gregory, Jonathan Shivers, Karin Shivers, Tammy Holder and Kelley Satterwhite. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
