As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Steve may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Brown of Beaumont; his son Reid; his daughter-in-law Kimberly; and his granddaughter Emily. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Family and Friends Pioneer Presbyterian Church (3750 E Lucas Dr, Beaumont, TX 77708). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Pioneer Presbyterian Church (3750 E Lucas Dr, Beaumont, TX 77708). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Magnolia Cemetery (2291 Pine St, Beaumont, TX 77703). After returning to Beaumont, Steve served churches in the Golden Triangle area as an interim and fill-in pastor from 1995 through 2020, serving in Vidor, Silsbee, Orange, and Beaumont before finally retiring from the ministry at the age of 90, due to the pandemic.
