He is survived by: his parents, Nellie Iona Langford Goines and Oscar Vernon Goines; his children, Julia Winger and Lyle Goines (Tammy); and his grandchildren, Regina Winger of Beaumont, Micah Goines of Starkville, Mississippi and Hannah Goines Baldwin (Ben) of Beaumont. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
