With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Smith Sr. of Beaumont, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2025 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his father Junies Smith; and his grandmother Alvedia Trahan. He is survived by: his mother Betty Smith; his wife Brenda Smith; his children, LaTashja West (Derrick), De'Anna Smith, Kimberly Smith, Derek Smith, Sr. (Devin) and Michael Smith, Jr.; his brothers, David Smith (Carolyn) and Robert Smith (Debra); his grandchildren, Dillon, Jasmine, Jared, Kaylon, John, Michael C., Brian, Hailey, Michael F., Paris, Tiauna, Derek Jr. and Braylon; his aunts, Bobbi Holmes, Marva Jones and Betty Lois Jones; and his uncle Floyd Jones (Shirley). He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mercy Funeral System Inc (1395 Gladys St, Beaumont, TX 77701). Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church (3755 Fannett Rd, Beaumont, TX 77705). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. For your safety social distancing and facial masks are recommended.
